Import Assets from CSV

Bulk import lets you create many assets in iRis Cloud at once from a CSV file instead of adding them one by one. Each row creates (or updates) one asset and can include server attributes and time-series values.

Column typeDescription
NameAsset name (required)
TypeAsset type (required). It is matched to the asset profile with the same name; if none exists, one is created
LabelOptional display label
DescriptionOptional description
Server attributeAny key — stored as a server-side attribute
Time seriesAny key — stored as a time-series data point
  1. Navigate to Entities → Assets and click the Import icon.
  2. Upload your CSV file. Set the CSV delimiter and toggle First line contains column names if applicable.
  3. Enable Update attributes/telemetry if you want matching existing assets to be updated rather than flagged as errors.
  4. Map each CSV column to a column type (Name, Type, Label, Description, Server attribute, Time series) and click Import.
  5. Review the results — the summary shows how many assets were created, updated, or failed.

The file must have at minimum a name column and a type column. All other columns are optional. Empty cells are allowed — missing values are simply skipped for that asset.

name,type,label,location,capacity
Warehouse A,Warehouse,Main warehouse,Seoul,1200
Warehouse B,Warehouse,Backup warehouse,Busan,800
Line 1,Production Line,Assembly line 1,Seoul,

In this example, location is mapped to Server attribute and capacity to Time series.
